June, 2007, personal photos, along with white photoshop paint This is a preliminary photo study meant to represent the secret (or at least unthought of by many, anyway) sexual language of the cross. There are many theories that the cross symbol pre-dates Christianity by many, many years and it is even further thought (at least by me) that, since the ancients could not yet draw 3-dimensionally (as evidenced by the flat nature of much of ancient Egyptian art, for one example), they used a simple, two-line cross to symbolize the intersection of the penis with the vagina. The horizontal line would later be sketched as a circle through which the horizontal line goes through. In my piece below, I also relate this to Mexican food and "putting the meat (penis) into the taco shell (vagina)," demonstrated in four stages (though in the future I plan to make it at least five): 1) Upper left: The arousal ensues upon thinking of copulation and the intersection of penis into vagina. 2) Upper right: The penis (represented by a link of Mexican sausage) is inserted into the vagina(represented by a taco shell). 3) Lower left: The meat is firmly in place and intercourse begins. 4) Lower right: Ejaculation and a baby is born.
